The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority is a political subdivision that was created under Article XVI, Section 59 of the Texas Constitution to develop, store and protect the water resources of the Guadalupe River Basin for the benefit of its residents.
GBRA is the owner and operator of Lake Dunlap, Lake McQueeney, Lake Placid, Lake Nolte, Lake H-4, and Lake Wood located in Comal, Guadalupe, and Gonzales Counties, Texas. GBRA has the right to establish regulations for navigation of the waterways subject to its jurisdiction, and is empowered under the laws of the State of Texas to establish restrictions on the use of watercraft navigating the waterways subject to its jurisdiction.

The permit form below needs to be completed and approved prior to starting any waterfront construction or dredging on GBRA Hydroelectric Lake Dunlap, located in Comal and Guadalupe Counties; Lakes McQueeney, Placid and Nolte located in Guadalupe County; and Lake Gonzales (H-4) and Lake Wood (H-5) located in Gonzales County, Texas.
The following stump removal guidelines apply to GBRA Hydroelectric Lake Dunlap, located in Comal and Guadalupe Counties, Lakes McQueeney, Placid and Nolte located in Guadalupe County, and Lake Gonzales (H-4) and Lake Wood (H-5) located in Gonzales County, Texas.
The following information from the Comal County Engineer's Office lists the status of the County boat ramps on Canyon Lake.
The goal of this study was to construct an informative management tool to better manage the pressure of increased recreational use and shoreline development on Lakes Dunlap, McQueeney, Placid, Nolte (Meadow Lake), Gonzales (H4), and Wood (H5).
In November, GBRA, Guadalupe County and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department partnered to control hydrilla by stocking the Guadalupe River downstream of the City of Seguin with 3270 triploid grass carp. TPWD personnel surveyed the river and found that over 100 acres of hydrilla was growing in the river channel, impeding flows and blocking public access.
